IDEAS TO AUTOCAD EXPORT

IDEAS TO AUTOCAD EXPORT

IDEAS TO AUTOCAD EXPORT

(OP)
hi,
When I export a drawing from IDEAS to Autocad, most of my dimensions, views, text does not come in the proper postion and in proper format .. What may be the problem??

Any help is warmly appreciated

RE: IDEAS TO AUTOCAD EXPORT

I'm not an AutoCAD user but I remember checking a drawing that I'd translated and their being a 2D and a 3D environment in AutoCAD which I think was called Layout and Model respectively.

Within Model all the views and text were dropped on top of each other whereas in Layout everytihing was correctly formatted.

Alternatively, which translator did you use? DWG gave me the best results with DXF running a close second. IGES was terrible.

RE: IDEAS TO AUTOCAD EXPORT

Hi

First you need convert to "*.asc", smash all views and after convert to "*.dwg" or "*.dxf"
