Viewport is jumping

(OP)
Hello Everyone (Acad 2000)

My boss just bought me a brand new computer which has Windows XP.

And so I'm plugging along in my drawing, and I'm over in paper space.  I wanted to get inside my viewport, so i double clicked in the viewport and then i jumped to zoom extent inside the viewport and gave me a fatal error.  Has anyone experienced this in Acad 2000/Windows XP.  If so is there a patch or a toggle i haven't toggle off/on.

Very Frustrated

RE: Viewport is jumping

Are you using XP pro or home?
AutoCad will only recommend you use XP pro!

RE: Viewport is jumping

If this problem has nothing to do with XP, then go into your vport, type in UCSMAN , goto the settings tab and un-tick 'update to plan when ucs is changed' - but do it in all view ports and this stops.
