Non Invasive Portable Low Pres Gas Flowmeter

Non Invasive Portable Low Pres Gas Flowmeter

(OP)
I am looking for something similar to the portable clamp on ultrasonic flow meters suitable for measuring the branch flow for 79 psig nitrogen distribution.  Most of the ultrasonic meters found are for liquid.  The meters that might work for gas are permanent and need gas higher than 100 psig.  A process engineer advised that he used a doppler meter in the UK some time ago.  This does not sound likely.  Still, I am open to any really good and cheap ideas.

RE: Non Invasive Portable Low Pres Gas Flowmeter

For noninvasive type you have only 2 options: Ultrasonic and a new technology called sonartrac. Ultrasonic is very common nowadays and is available from most of the major instrument vendors. Sonartrac is a brand new technology and still in devolopment stages. You can find more information at www.cidra.com
