h2s removal

(OP)
Question, is there alternate method of removing h2s from a gas stream other than amine. Problem being where I work we have an inlet that is sweet except for one well that produces a million a day and is about .5% sour. If we could extract h2s economically at the well head we could process that inlet gas on the sweet side of the plant there by giving us more room for the sour process side of our plant

Operator 1

From your mail it seems that your flow is 1 MMscfd , H2S=0.5 mole%. I need to know more about your operating conditions such as temperature, pressure , oxygen content etc. I think SulfaTreat might be a good option. If you can  provide the operating conditions I'll be able to tell you the cost associated with the process

Waiting for your reply

RE: h2s removal

It sounds like this is in the range that SulfaTreat or a liquid scavenger would both work ok.  The scavenger has lower capital costs and higher operating costs.  Just figure out which is more important to you and move forward.

RE: h2s removal

A H2S Scavenger should work, but not so certain if you are considering (economic) recovery of the H2S.
