AVL 8 Mode Heavy-Duty Cycle Engine Test

(OP)
I was wondering if any out there is familiar with the AVL 8 Mode Heavy-Duty Cycle engine test proceedure. I have a few questions. Why do the weight factors not add up to 100? Is it correct that you weight the [g/hr] emissions from the 8 modes and the [hp] from the 8 modes then divide those results for the [g/hp-hr] results? Why is this method choosen instead of weighing the [g/hp-hr] emissions directly. Finally what is a good source of information on heavy-duty test proceedures?

Thanks in advance
