there is No direct method  To open the .exp catia file  in solid edge;
if you can convert the .exp File into parasolid
or any other  format that solid edge supports
(But It is better  if you convert it in parasolid)

then you can open it in solid edge;

The problem is that I don't have Catia neither does my costomer. I also have AutoCad and SolidWorks is there anything you can do with those?

No.  CATIA is pretty much in its own ballpark and CATIA files must be translated out in order to get them into any other CAD system.
