Recycled Foam Adhesive

Recycled Foam Adhesive

(OP)
I have ground up recycled closed cell foam granules that I want to coat with an adhesive. The plan is to glue it back into a useable shape. I thought I'd use a high speed flow through mixer similar to those used to coat core sand in foundries.  Other coating equipment suggestions would be welcome.

I need to press the foam back into a shape.  The foam needs to be able to flow into a special molding machine after being coated with the adhesive.  So, the adhesive can't be tacky.  Heat activation is not practical, the foam is insulative and the cross section is thick.

100% coverage is not necessary.  The foam just needs to stick together in a block. Cost, as always, is an issue.  New foam used in this application is styrene.  The processing and capital costs are about the same for the process equipment if you use old or new foam, so the key factor is the adhesive cost.
