I am a geotechnical engineer responsible of the foundation design of a multispan structure.  Part of my responsiblilties include provide a foundation stiffness matrices.

This would be my job utilizing foundation stiffness matrices. Can anyone with experience in this area recommend a method or reference they have used on past jobs to develop the foundation stiffness matrices?

Foundation stiffness matrices are dicussed in depth in this reference,

Seismic Design of Highway Bridge Foundations.  Volumes 1-3.  Volume 3 has examples and sensitivity studies.

Also anything by the author Gaezetas on this topic will be useful.

Earth Technology Corp., Long Beach California is listed on the cover.  

The authors listed on the inside FHWA form are

Ignatius (Po) Lam and Geoffrey Martin.

Two very good researchers in this field.
