RE: Short circuit test on Power Transformer

Are you talking about a fault withstand test to verify transformer can withstand short at the output terminals with full voltage at the input terminals?  Or a reduced-voltage test to verify the transformer equivalent circuit parameters?

RE: Short circuit test on Power Transformer

Suggestion: Please, provide more info, e.g.
1. Voltages
2. Connections
3. Dry/Liquid cooling
4. Standard adherence(s)
5. etc.

RE: Short circuit test on Power Transformer

First of all you have to find all rated parameters of the concerned transformer.
The short circuit test is done by taking reference of primary or secondary side rated current of transformer. If you have additional question do not hesistate to contact me
