BOM: How to?

BOM: How to?

BOM: How to?

(OP)
I am relatively new to using Solidworks, so this may be a stupid question.

I have a two sheet drawing of an assembly that I have created, and I want to put the BOM on the first sheet with no BOM on the second....The first sheet will only have the BOM on it. How can I put a BOM on a sheet that has no parts on it? Please help......

RE: BOM: How to?

Place the assy on sheet one, insert your BOM, then hide the assy view.

RE: BOM: How to?

If you want to keep the assembly visible (so you or another user don't forget about it when editing later on), you can move the assembly outside the title block or I've even left them in one corner of the titleblock but scaled way down (looks pretty much like a thumbnail picture).
