Methylene Chloride Capture or Concentration

Methylene Chloride Capture or Concentration

Methylene Chloride Capture or Concentration

(OP)
I'm trying to concentrate or condense methylene chloride air or vapor stream back to liquid form. Solvent is carried through pipes with nitrogen.
We've used 20 degree chillers on shell & tube exchangers channeled to a water stripping column.  Pitiful capture results with the concentration of input solvent. Concentration on activated carbon could be costly due to volume. Is there a zeolite to capture water vapor but lets methylene chloride through?

RE: Methylene Chloride Capture or Concentration

Have you considered scrubbing with a low-volatility oil (chilled if necessary), then stripping the MeCl2 out of the oil?  If you get a lot of water condensing, at least you'll be able to separate it easily enough.
