Has anyone figured out the best way to share toolbox parts? In otherwords, have multiple users on a server building the same database of toolbox parts rather then having each user installing their toolbox into a different folder and building their own database..You know what happens if user 1 tries to open an assembly created by user 2 which contains toolbox fasteners,,SolidWorks can not find the fasteners. So, user 2 has to save a copy of the toolbox parts into the assembly folder so others can open it. Is there a better way to do this? Something I am missing during the install assigning a common folder?

RE: SW Toolbox
The FAQ helps in establishing a common working folder which is half my battle. No I am not using PDMworks.
should have looked at FAQ's first,,live and learn.

RE: SW Toolbox
The reason I asked if you had PDM/works is because inserting hardware is way cool with Toolbox and PDM/works. We just started using “MateReferences” on our hardware. We find the part in the PDM, drag and drop the part into the assembly. Two of the mates are already done for us. If the part is round we can leave it as inserted. I can insert 8 pem nuts fully mated in about 10 seconds, as compared to over a minute using the old SolidWorks mating method. The only method I found to work is to drag and drop parts from the PDM Vault with the Toolbox add-in turned on.
