How do I make construction lines interact with a drawing?

How do I make construction lines interact with a drawing?

How do I make construction lines interact with a drawing?

(OP)
I have a part that will end up becoming 11 different parts due to a change in angle for a relief area for each of the different parts.  I would like the construction and/or phantom lines to appear on the drawing so that the machinist can then see the angle and center of rotation of this rectangular relief.  How do I put these lines in that will update on the drawing when the part is changed? Thank you!

RE: How do I make construction lines interact with a drawing?

Make them a unconsumed sketch (not part of the base sketch) then in the IDW right click on the view select "show content" then on the part right click and select show sketches.  You now have these sketches visible.

You could do the same thing with workplanes and/or axes.

In the IV help index look for "sketches, in drawings" for more info.

Can you change the line type of an "uncomsumed sketch"?  If yes then how do I go about doing that?

Thanks

I belive that once the lines from the unconsumed sketch are in the idw environment that you should be able to individualy select those lines and change thier layer / linetype properties.
