55 centig ambiant.temp
19.8 bar discharg.P
4.8 bar suction.P
40.5 centig suct.T
67.0 centig disc.T

SAB 83 (SABROE(YORK)COMPRESSOR)

DO YOU THING THE OIL TEMP. IS A NORMAL VALUE?WHY?

RE: screw comp. with 77 centig. oil temp

I would consider the oil temperature too high.

Have you consulted the Manufacturer about the temperature?

Does your compressor have oil cooler

RE: screw comp. with 77 centig. oil temp

(OP)
yes there is a refrigerant oil cooler with (67 C) from refrigerant reciver.

RE: screw comp. with 77 centig. oil temp

You have some pretty high numbers throughout this circuit.

Providing this is an ordinary oil injected compressor, if the Oil in the separator or sump gets colder than the condensing temperature you will have a tendency to draw refrigerant to the oil reservoir...there always needs to be a difference between them or the refrigerant will disrupt the lubricant film when the mixture is exposed to a hot surface, which is in effect all the internal wetted surfaces of a screw compressor and the bearings as well.

So the package needs an oil temp higher than 67 C.  There may be means to get it under 77, but not by all that much.

What is the nature of the application that all the temps are so high?
