Interpart copy, SE v.12 update 10

(OP)
hi,

I have made interpart copyies in some of the parts in a assembly, after making som changes in the assembly and in some of the parts, I want to update the interpart copies. When I try to update I get this message.

>Included assembly features can only be edited when in-place activated from assembly and from the defining occurance<

where did it go wrong??
thanks for any help

RE: Interpart copy, SE v.12 update 10

You have to open the assembly first, then right click on the part that you want to modify and select "Edit."  That is in-place editing from the assembly.  It sounds to me that you just opened the part file in Solid Edge and did not edit it from the open assembly.

The other cause of this error is if you moved or renamed files without using Revision Manager and without updating the where used.  If that's the case, good luck!
