use a globe valve

RE: Orifice Plate sizing

To size the orifice plate quickly, try the free software from flowcalc32, the programme will calculated in accordance with ISO 5167-1.

RE: Orifice Plate sizing

the issue is not the sizing method or code.

the flow rate specified is so small as to guarantee that pluggage will occur unless the sea water is completely filtered and properly sterilized. in any event you'll be cleaning your orifice more frequently than not. great if you have nothing else to do, hence the comment about using a valve.

RE: Orifice Plate sizing

I looked briefly at this.  At the flow rates you gave, the pressure drop through your tubing needs to be taken into consideration unless it's very short.

I can give you an estimate of the RO if you can give me the wall thickness or ID of the tubing you plan to use.
