Specific gravity to state of charge equation

Specific gravity to state of charge equation

(OP)
I need to find the equation(s) to determine a lead acid battery's state of charge from the specific gravity.

Specific gravity of the electrolyte in a lead acid battery varies around temperature changes. Is there an equation for specific gravity of Sulfuric acid/water electrolyte versus temperature?

The perfect equation for calculating state of charge from specific gravity would take temperature change into account.

Does anyone know this calculation or know where to find a book that covers this topic?

Thanks!
