how to determine module ..

how to determine module ..

how to determine module ..

(OP)
.. of a gear with the gear in a hand?
once someone told me that there is formula that permetted
this.
for example for a gear with 24 teeth it sound like this:
mod = (W4 - W3)/ (z * sin pa)
this is a wrong formula but it is similar to the right one.

thank you all

RE: how to determine module ..

If you know the od of the gear
simply divide the od by the (number of
teeth plus 2).  This works unless there
is a profile shift.
So in your case divide the od by 26.
