casting simulation - SW

I want to test my casting/mold design whether it's feasible or not. can I do that with SW?

Thanks,
Adrian

RE: casting simulation - SW

If you have SW03, it comes with COSMOSxpress, which will allow you to very basic linear FEA, for stress, deflection etc.

Now if you are talking about flow of your casting, that cannot be done.

RE: casting simulation - SW

there is a product/add-on called "Moldflow" for SW that may be worth a look

RE: casting simulation - SW

THere are several packages that do flow anaylsis in molds.  Some even do metal, wax . etc.  try looking under the SW partner listing on their Website first.  There is a lot to be said for tight integration, so gold or silver partners are best.  That way your application would run right in the SW window.
