attatching v5 data to iges data?

attatching v5 data to iges data?

attatching v5 data to iges data?

(OP)
I'm trying to assemble v5 data to iges data and it seems almost impossible the only way i have found to move my part around in the assembly was using the compass and that doesn't let me constrain it properly. I need a more definate way of positioning my part to the assembly.

                                             Thank You Tim

RE: attatching v5 data to iges data?

well, i feel the only solution to the problem is to create some features (on IGES parts) used in assembly like axis, face etc. These artificially created entities can be used to give assembly constraints

jantu
