Wildfire on Linux: Any feedback?

Wildfire on Linux: Any feedback?

Wildfire on Linux: Any feedback?

(OP)
Has anybody tested Pro/E on Linux, or has seen a test of Pro/E on Linux vs. Windows?

My coworker met a guy that works at PTC, and he runs Pro/E on a Windows emulator on an Apple!  He said it is just as fast and (more?) stable than Pro/E on Windows.

Anybody have any information?

We just switched our servers to Linux (database and email server), but are still running Windows on the workstations, mainly because of Pro/E and Office.  Would like to make a full Linux migration, but am too scared to do it blindly.

RE: Wildfire on Linux: Any feedback?

Hello Antran7,

I've run Wildfire on Linux Professional(Red Hat) ver 8.0.
No problems at all. In term of speed, comparable with running in windows and very stable. Unfortunately, it's not capable to host as Conference Server.

Hope it helps.

Regards,
Kenney Koay

RE: Wildfire on Linux: Any feedback?

I also have run with Redhat 8.  After I installed the NVIDIA driver for my Geforce card all was well.  Stable and quick so far.  Just makes me wish that Intralink and Mechanica were available for Linux..
