Porous Plastic

Porous Plastic

I am looking for a material that will create a liquid barrier but at the same time allow for air to be pressed through it as a cavity is filled with 250F liquid.  I was considering polyethylene(a molded part) but am not sure of the cost effectiveness of this material.  Any suggestions?
Constraints are:
Flexible
Allow airflow while maintaining liquid barrier
Function at temperatures around 250F
Cost effective

TIA

RE: Porous Plastic

Semi permiable membranes made from PP are avaliable, but are very expensive, and while they are impervious to water, and permiable to gas, the gas will only pass through them quite slowly

The company I know that manufactures them is Akzo Nobel. As I understand it, the technology was originally developed for kidney dialysis

Thank you for the reply but the cost requirement is one of the biggest issues I am facing.  Production will be high volume and current cost is very minimal.  There is a safety concern that could warrant more expense but only to a certain degree.  Any more ideas??

RE: Porous Plastic

Are you hoping to find a membrane that will act as a check valve for air pressure release?  I think I follow.  You may consider using a rubber septum, similar to those used in injection bottles.  It allows you to insert a syringe and remove it, and maintain it's seal.   You could insert a syringe into the head space to let the gas escape, and remove it once the container is full.
