Bending tubing, fishmouthing, placement

(OP)

I am trying to create an assembly that has bent tubing components.  I am not having much luck creating the tubing with bends, fishmouthing, holes, etc.  Anyone know of a tutorial that covers this?  Any other way of doing this?

Thanks,

Mark

RE: Bending tubing, fishmouthing, placement

There is a piping module available.  Contact your VAR.

Otherwise, I typically module tubing as a sweep aplong a centerline.  Fishmouthing can be accomplished by creating a sweep of the wall sextion and using the tubing diameter edge as a guide curve.

To put a hole in a cylinder (tubing) wall, one first usually puts a datum plane tangent to the cylinder.  Then, sketch the hole, and make an extrude/cut.  If you use the Hole Wizard, Hole wizard holes can also be placed on the plane or on the cylinder wall itself.

I looked at your website.  Neat stuff.  Explains you handle.  Feel free to contact me at the email address in my profile.

All this machinery making modern music can still be open-hearted.
