Digital GPS cameras

(OP)
Does anyone know of a digital camera that is capable of logging direction that photo is taken, in addition to date and time, etc.?

RE: Digital GPS cameras

No but surely a digital camera like that would need a refeence frame to work from as well as "knowing" whether it is pointing up or down - so that would require some sort of sensors - GPS etc. I have only come across this type of setup in combination with theodolites - or GPS - One would also need to calibrate the equipment - Depending on the accuracy you require and what you want to use it for?

Please elaborate on what you wish to use it for?
