Is there a way to have the weight of model show up as grams in the title block instead of lbs?  How do you write the link to do the conversion?

Thanks

RE: Linked Mass Property

The units of the mass properties are not directly dependent on the units setting found under "Options --> Document Properties".  The units are dependent on the settings under the "Options" button under the mass properties tool, under "Tools --> Mass Properties".

This setting may or may not be the same as the setting under Document Properties.  If it is manually changed, it does not seem to update with units changes under Document Properties.

All this machinery making modern music can still be open-hearted.

OK.  Well I still don't know how to make the weight of my model show up as grams and not lbs.  I guess I missed the jist of your reply or does your reply mean that it can not be done.

Nice Rush quote in your Sig.  I believe it is from "Red Barchetta"

RE: Linked Mass Property

Go to the Mass Properties tool, either via the blue "scale" icon on the toolbar or by menu picks "Tools --> Mass Properties".  There is a button labeled "Options".  Click it.  Here are the options for decimal places and units for the mass properties tool.

OK I got it.  Sorry, I got confused.  I thought that if I changed the units to centimeters, then the whole mdel would change to centimeters.  Now I understand your first reply.  Sorry for the confusion.
