Centerline question?
Centerline question?
(OP)
I am having difficulties inserting centerlines in a drawing with a broken view. SW displays the centerlines in the Un-broken view but they disappear in the broken view. We are using SW2003 SP3.1

3/4 of all the Spam produced goes to Hawaii - shame that's not true of SPAM also.......
RE: Centerline question?
I have run across this too. It will not let you pick the items to make the centerlines in the broken view. You can put the centermark for holes in the broken view by un-breaking the view and put them in, then break the view again. Unfortunately there is no solution for centerlines other than drawing them in by hand in the broken view. I called our customer support and they could not find a solution, and said it must be a bug.
RE: Centerline question?
One thing you can do when drawing center lines in the broken view is to show temporary axes lines. Then draw your centerlines and make a collinear relation. Once you have all your centerlines in go up to view, and turn off temporary axes. This way the center lines will be in the right location.
RE: Centerline question?
1 - you must have the view in the unbroken state
2 - draw the center lines (they must lay in the future unbroken portion of the part)
3 - create dimensions or relations so the center lines are fuly constrained in relation to the geometry of the part
4 - break the view: now the center lines move according to geometry constraints and are shown.
