Is there any chemical reaction when you mix corrosion inhibitor(Nalco Tri-act 1800) and oxygen scavenger(Nalco Surgard 1700) before it enter the deaerator?

this kind of question is more for the forum Boiler and Pressure vessel.ask NALCO they will be glad to answer the question.

In general perhaps is better to add the scavenger after the thermal deareation step.

Follow-up with Nalco as suggested above -- most of their reps I've dealt with are very knowledgeable regarding their products..

we always injected the oxygen scavenger after the deaerator -- usually in the boiler feed pump suction line from the deaerator...
