General concrete reference
General concrete reference
(OP)
I am a Mechanical Engineer with experience in the design and analysis of steel structures. A recent job change is placing demands for concrete knowledge on me that I don't have at the moment. I am looking for a good reference(s) as a "jumping off point" to learn more about concrete design. Any help would be appreciated.

There's also a
Prestressed Concrete one, everything else equal.
Both nice books to have if not -maybe- for the most orderly minds.

Mark Fintel: Handbook of Concrete Engineering 2nd Ed; ISBN:81-239-0843-1. The version I have is an Indian version. But original published by Van Nostrand. Perhaps there is a later version - just no over here yet.

RE: General concrete reference
A very useful resource, but of course not to substitute for consultation with (and the supervision of) a more experienced engineer.
