Shared Network Toolbox is slow...

Shared Network Toolbox is slow...

(OP)
Is there a way to speed up sharing the Toolbox on a network. The first time we insert a toolbox part (testing with a socket head cap screw) takes about 1:20 and then another :15 to load it to the assembly. If I delete the toolbox part and insert it again it takes about :50 and it loads instantly. The only thing I know about our Network is that it's Novell. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Try reading the articles posted in the FAQ for this forum.  FAQ #10 covers a few points about Toolbox.

RE: Shared Network Toolbox is slow...

Novell is more likely the problem. At the SW site in the KBA there is an artciel called "Trouble shooting a Crash prone system" In that article it comments on a Novell network. SW recommends you use an Windows 2000 Network.

I used a Novell network at my last job and that Netowrk was a dog with SW. I move files locally and the problems went away.
