Default tool bars... Autocad 2000 LT

Default tool bars... Autocad 2000 LT

Default tool bars... Autocad 2000 LT

(OP)
Hello
Some ***** removed all the icons from the "modify" tool bar from our general purpose Autocad station. Is there any way to get the default set back? I am assuming it is one of the standard (draw being the other) vertical tool bars that displays with the standard default view. Would just as soon "not" have to re-install the whole program just to accomplish this.
Thanks
Ralph

There "must" be a way to edit ones post.... But can't find it. The version of Autocad in the above question is 2002LT.. if it makes any difference

RE: Default tool bars... Autocad 2000 LT

I had a similar problem (with 2002) when I 'accidentally' removed some of the toolbar functions.  One way I found of restoring individual functions is to go to >View >Toolbars >Commands >All Commands (bottom of list) and then choose the required function and drag it into an existing toolbar.  I realise this does not re-install the default toolbar, but it's a start.  Hope this helps.

Ralph2,

You want to right click in the tool bar area, then click on customize.  When that screen appears choose the toolbar tab and you can go through & turn off and on any standard or custom toolbars.

Thanks jcubed00.
But the tool bar tab I want has been emptied. So turning it off or on just displays or not an empty box. I know I can "add" whatever commands to it but was hoping for the default set. One way of course is to check what another instalation has, copy the screen and print it then use that as a guide to re build.... Kind of a convoluted way and was hoping for something easier.... like delete *.* and Autocad will rebuild with a default set.

I have messed around with this and have forgotten what file or files you can copy and paste to get the toolbars equal on two computers.  I did this to have my computer at home equal.  I am sure I did a search in this forum to learn what file(s) you need to alter.  Hope this helps.

RE: Default tool bars... Autocad 2000 LT

I'm not positive, but, depending on how the toolbar was emptied, you might be able to go into the LT Support directory, and delete two files, "aclt.mns" and "aclt.mnr"

That will force autocad to rebuild them from the aclt.mnu next time you start Autocad.

That's assuming that the .mnu file hasn't been changed, or had any custom buttons created.  If there have, you may lose those if you try this.

But, just to be sure, before you try that, anyone else care to verify this?  It's been a while since I tried it.

Anyone?.... Anyone?   (sorry, bad movie reference)
