Alternative Mold Cavity Cleaning (ASP 30)

Alternative Mold Cavity Cleaning (ASP 30)

Alternative Mold Cavity Cleaning (ASP 30)

(OP)
Hi all..

I'm from semiconductor manufacturing company (Mold Dept) and i would like to know if there is any other way of cleaning the Mold Chase Cavity (ASP 30 ToolSteel. As for now, we're using Melamine, Nicholet, Conditioner and rubber sheet for daily cleaning. We also coat the mold. The mold must be clean enough to ensure no compound sticking ( Avoid air vent block - void, bubbles). Now, is there any other solution to improve the cleaning, maybe by replacing the melamine or whatsoever. It would be great if we could do the cleaning once in 2 days as this would affect the productivity and cost.

Appreaciate any ideas or suggestions.

RE: Alternative Mold Cavity Cleaning (ASP 30)

Are you using the Melamine, Nicholet, Conditioner and rubber sheet as a purge material?  What kind of liquid cleaners have you used - halogen or hydrocarbon based?  What are you coating the mold with?  What is your basic resin and what is it you are cleaning out of the cavity - resin, burned resin, coating build up, etc.?
