Reformatting Hard Drive

Reformatting Hard Drive

Reformatting Hard Drive

(OP)
I own a Dell Home Computer and have tried to clean install Windows 2000 Professional.  Despite continued reformatting of hard drive (with help of computer consultant
friends), I still get various problems (problems with svchost.exe, continued presence of Welch and other viruses).  I would like to know how to reformat my
hard drive ENTIRELY.  Thank you for any help you may give.

RE: Reformatting Hard Drive

a low-level format.  this rewrites the all the sector positions and numbers as well as cleaning track 0.  your friends should know about this.
