Has anyone know about "Harpcloth?"

I have a requirement for old (drawing dated 1955) Lockheed C130 parts made from Harpcloth.  The drawing nomenclature are "G.F.E. MX-140/AP Harpcloth, spec NAVAER M-721" and "GFAE MX-2097U Harpcloth."

I've been around aircraft manufacturing since 1968 and can't recall "Harpcloth" nor can I find anyone who has heard of it.

The drawing is out of Lockheed, Marietta, Georgia.

Thanks,
Don Berends, don@vantageassoc.com

RE: Harpcloth, Lockheed C130 parts

This probably isn't that much help but....

'GFAE' probably is an abreviation for 'Government furnished Aerospace Equipment'.

'GFE' might be an abreviation for a company...

hope this helps
