I am interested if existing Literature and/or Research reports exist of studies of fiber types and resin types regarding their resistance tothe high alkalinity environment of concrete and/or salt water exposure? Any help is appreciated.

RE: FRP rebar and Pultruded Rods

if you provide your mail I will send all test data of FIBERMESH fibers according to UL.

bye

RE: FRP rebar and Pultruded Rods

the only fibers are syntetic fibers who resist to alkalinity and salts. others metallic and glass fibers are not good enough.

As syntetic fibers the best is polypropilen fibers, because nylon and PE fiber consumed water from the mixture and difficult to make stable the concrete.

I will send you "4 years studity of fiber reinforced (polyproplyne-pp) concrete and corrosion effet" and "list of resistance to chemicals (appx 500 type)" and "report of why nylon and PE not suitable for concrete" booklet via mail to your address

but what is your name?

You may be interested in the fact that ACI Committee 440 issued a draft on Provisional Design Recommendations for Concrete Reinforced with FRP Bars. A Draft 3 was issued in January 1999. If you contact ACI (American Concrete Institute) you might be able to get a copy.
