IEC specifications for SCRs

IEC specifications for SCRs

(OP)
Hello, everyone,

I am replacing some Silicon Controlled Rectifier units that convert 600 VAC to 750 VDC for some DC propulsion motors.  I would like to reference specifications for performance and testing.  IEEE 45 (2002 edition) says it should comply with IEC 60146 and 61136.  Somebody gave me IEC 92-501 (which is dated 1984).  Is there someplace I can find out which specification applies?  And does IEC 60146 replace IEC 92-501?

RE: IEC specifications for SCRs

Have a look at

www.iec.ch

and you will find the upto date reference of the standard you need

I've already looked at a couple of IEC sites.  Their history doesn't seem to go that far back.  I was hoping there was someone on this forum that had some history and would know whether IEC 92-501 was replaced with IEC 60146.
