Anybody got any good info/examples of automotive component moulded-in clips?

RE: Moulded-In Clips

johnr,

I think that you should go to a couple of car dealer showrooms and and take a look under the hoods.  That is where I believe your best ideas will come from.

RE: Moulded-In Clips

Are you talking about metal clips molded in a plastic body? Not hard to do at all. make sure the mold can seal off on the metal clip when you injection mold the plastic, so that there is no leakage of plastic over areas you don't want.

Or you can assemble pre-molded plastic bodies to the metal clip and ultrasonic weld together.

There are a lot of ways , depends on you design and customer's requirements, etc.

I am thinking more of plastic integral clips - part of the main moulding.

RE: Moulded-In Clips

They are called snap fits.

many raw material suppliers produce technical bullitins about their design
