That's okay.  I get tired of long threads anyhow...

I think the adoption of the falling cone test is spotty in the U.S.  Seems to be an issue of familiarity and reluctance to retrain as much as anything else.  There is also the issue of being able to spot a bad test result, and understand the cause.
