filtering a "Bently Nevada" velocity sensor.

(OP)
I am using "Bently Nevada" velocity sensor to measure the speed of a turbine 500 to 4000 rpm. Have a pre pump that produces a 29 Hz vibrarion that dominates the turbine vibration. Any suggestions to ger round this.

RE: filtering a "Bently Nevada" velocity sensor.

Use synchronous sampling rather than time based. ie, run your sampling clock from  a toothed wheel on the turbine.

Cheers

RE: filtering a "Bently Nevada" velocity sensor.

You can install a high pass filter in the signal path, I am not familiar with our industry, and the synchronous sampling is probably the simplest way to solve the issue, but a basic filter is fairly easy to build and install.
