I am trying to open a file with the extension .cal  Does anyone know what program I need to be in to open this?

RE: Opening a .cal file ? ? ?

You need to know what program wrote the file.  You can always try opening it in Notepad and see if it's in plain text, that may give you a clue.  There are at least 11 file types with the extension .cal; try this link  http://filext.com/detaillist.php?extdetail=CAL

Good luck!

RE: Opening a .cal file ? ? ?

If you are working on a military project [particularly in Korea], chances are you are looking at drawing files created by SV Research, http://www.svresearch.de/de/produkte/svreader_e.html

I receive tender documents from the military with the free reader software included.  It is really the best and fastest drawing software I have ever encountered.

All the scanned drawings have the extension 'cal'

Good luck !
