Buckling of silo walls under normal pressure

Buckling of silo walls under normal pressure

Buckling of silo walls under normal pressure

(OP)
Hi there,

I have a seen a text mentioned, but i am unsure where to find any information from it or even locate it. I dont know the title of the book/paper, but the authors are Weingarten,Morgan and Seide. There is a graph in this book that i need showing allowable buckling loads of silo walls under both vertical loads and internal pressure.

If anyone knows or has heard of this could they please let me know.

Adrian

RE: Buckling of silo walls under normal pressure

Hi,

I have not found your article but the pdf

BUCKLING OF THIN-WALLED CIRCULAR CYLINDERS
NASA SP-8007

is freely downloadable and seems to have more than enough the theory and charts for your case. Weingarten and Seide are authors with a Peterson. Try Google for it.
