Does anyone have these valves in service ?
I am looking for a better setting device, the one
designed from Consolidated  is awkward.
Has anyone come up with a better design or
modification ?

RE: Consolidated "W" 1900 valves

Which Setting Device are you using?
1566 Hydroset?
1566-2 Hydroset?
Dresser EVT Electronic?
There are several Alternatives:
AVK
Trevitest

Hello  Mr. Cox

None of these devices, what I am talking about is a jig, made by barber. You cannot ajust the set pressure the conventional way. You have to apply this jig to remove the spring tention, before you can adjust the pressure. Then you have to remove this jig, befor you can atempt to test it.

RE: Consolidated "W" 1900 valves

OK, I know the device to which you refer.
Unfortunately, due to the size of the "W" Orifice,
It is very difficult to adjust the Set Pressure.
We manufacture custom designed Relief Valve Test Equipment.
We could take a look at this to see if there is something we could offer, if you have time for us to look at the project.  Is the Barber Jig Hydraulic or Mechanical?
