What is "novel chemistry"?

RE: What is "novel chemistry"?

What writers imbibe in order to write novels?

Seriously, it simply means a new or non-conventional method.

Very funny :)
Thanks for the info.  By the way, why is that adjective, "novel",  not used with other fields of science/engineering/buisness? Why don't we refer to a new
circuit as "novel electricity"?

RE: What is "novel chemistry"?

If the new circuit were strikingly different in conception, original, and nothing resembling formerly known circuits, I think one could indeed speak of "novel electricity".

Thanks a lot.  You were a lot of help.
