Better than KF-2?

Better than KF-2?

Better than KF-2?

(OP)
Hi List,

We have a DCS system with a unix based host, which connects to our DH+ network via a KF-2, the max baud rate of a KF-2 is 9600, very slow. Is there an alternative?

RE: Better than KF-2?

Try this company..
www.protocolconverter.com

They make a DL3500-DH+/DF1 which can go up to 230.4 Kb.
I haven`t used any of their devices yet but found them recently.

Have Fun

RE: Better than KF-2?

Hi Ken,

I believe there are versions of Interchange for various Unix'es:
9351-AIX for AIX
9351-HPUS for HP-UX
9351-OSF for Digital Unix
9351-VS for OpenVMS
9351-SLRS for Solaris
maybe there are more versions not listed in ABs standard pricelists.

You have to contact AB to find out what they can do, and what they require in terms of hardware.

Just a quick update, I found a newer model of the KF-2
that supports 19,200 baud, double the current bandwidth,
and the KF-2 was no cost.  So, I'm going to give this a try before spending major capital.

thanks for all the responses.
