dwf to dwg can it be done

ok here is a new one on me can you take a dwf and convert it either to an image file or a dxf or dxb to get it back into autocad to  be saved as a dwg

RE: dwf to dwg can it be done

I have just begun using acad2000 and interestingly
the first project that I am working on came in dwf
format which we simply opened up the drawings in
dwf format and then saved them in the dwg format.
Isn't this a standard procedure?  Not everything
is translated the same way in that other cad programs
have some idiosyncracies, but most everything converts
ok.  At least so far.

I think you are thinking of DXF not DWF there is a big difference
DXF = Drawing eXchange Format
DWF = Drawing Web Format
i did find an addon for autocad that does this though here is a link to the companies address if its alright with the forum

RE: dwf to dwg can it be done

In autocad 2000 you can convert:
DWF(Drawing Web File) to DWG and vice versa.

From DWG you can convert to DXF and others
