Formula Printing

Formula Printing

Formula Printing

(OP)
Greetings.

I am able to show the formulas I have embedded in my Excel worksheet by choosing the menus tools-options-view then click on Formulas.

My problem is that my formulas are pretty long and I would like to 'wrap' them in order for the printing to come out a lot nicer.  Is there anyway to alter the appearance of the formulas for printing purposes ?

Thanks !

RE: Formula Printing

I don't see an easy solution, since word-wrap doesn't help in this case. Maybe you can look at threads in this forum discussing displaying formulas on the sheet, such as Thread770-37797, Thread770-41284, Thread770-8148, FAQ770-79.

Cheers,
Joerd

RE: Formula Printing

One thing you could do is copy the Excel cells and then paste them into a Word document (I tried both Paste Special - RTF and regular Paste) where they come in as a table. You can adjust the font, word wrap, and column width to give you the appearance you want.

It's somewhat laborious but will give you the result you're looking for.

Perhaps it might be speeded up through some VBA automation.

RE: Formula Printing

Have you tried to insert [alt]-enter to break up the equations?  It inserts a line break in the formula display but does not affect the calculation.

Thanks...comments were helpful - now if I could find some time to implement them that would be great !!
