Rendering in 2D

Rendering in 2D

Rendering in 2D

(OP)
Hello everyone,
Is there a way to render in 2d in AutoCAD, or do i have to transfer the drawing to Photoshop or other related programs?

Thanks
Juice

RE: Rendering in 2D

The closest thing I can think of to "render" in 2D would be "superhatch" from the Express Tools.  Use "Image" for the pattern type, and choose .bmps, .gifs, .etc that you can download from the web to use as materials.

RE: Rendering in 2D

If you draw using regions you can apply shading and materials...

RE: Rendering in 2D

I might be off base (I haven't tried it myself), but have you tried the 3D Face option?

RE: Rendering in 2D

I think true rendering requires a face or region to apply the texture or "look" you want.  I think Drawf901151 is correct, you might need a face to use true rendering.  Autocad has some trick feature pasting images, but that might not be applicable here.
