Resultant Calculation in Report Writer

Resultant Calculation in Report Writer

Resultant Calculation in Report Writer

(OP)
hi ,
After using the IDEAS report writer for sumarising my Reaction force data on a surface , I am getting in X direction the Total Reaction force equal to 1.2E+05 N   , in Y direction 7.2E+05N and in Z direction  1.2 E+02 N .

But my total resulant Reaction Force magnitude for the Surface comes to around 3.65 E+06N . This Value is not logical in view of the X , Y and Z components .

What could be the reason for this illogical total resulant Reaction Force ? . What Procedure is used by the IDEAS report writer for calculating total resulant Reaction Force magnitude for a surface ??

Any suggestions will be most welcome

Midhun
