Method to put comments in a sketch?

Method to put comments in a sketch?

Method to put comments in a sketch?

(OP)
Does anyone know if there is a way to put some descriptive text in a sketch for Reference Only? Sometimes it would be helpful to have a brief explanation of what's going on in the sketch.

When I make operation sheets to machine a component, I might say "Op 50, N/C lathe, .03 stk on -A-, turn -B-, face -C-" or something like that.

The text can be "ignored" by using 'Selected Contour' on the sketch contour to be extruded or cut, but is there an easier way?

Thanks in advance!

RE: Method to put comments in a sketch?

On rare occasions, I would put in reference dimensions and use the annotation space on those dimensions for commentary.

In SW2003, it is possible to put annotations in sketches.  These are more for the purpose of turning text into geometry, but they may serve your purpose.

All this machinery making modern music can still be open-hearted.

RE: Method to put comments in a sketch?

hello room
we are going to bye some (10) professional computers fot our factory CAD station.
We have no limitation for paying money.
So I'm going to selecting dual moteherboard and professional graphic cards and SCSI HDD.
Does anyone know a site address or magazine which recommend for workstation or combination of devices such as RAM,HDD,motherboard, ....
Really I'm in a risk , so I want to plan correctly and professionaly .
I want some sources which I can trust for deciding , and it's better that thoese sources tested vary of systems and compare their outputs.
I hope I could tell my mean.
Best regard.

Go to the SolidWorks web site...it can give you a listing of the best devices to buy.
