Is There a Cheaper, Safe Substitute foe Soft Gel?

(OP)
We are looking to substitute our current soft gel coating with a material that has most of the positive qualities that soft gel has.  We need something that will be safe for consumption and biodegradable.  We need something that is cheaper to produce and can serve the same purpose.  Could you give me some alternative ideas if there are some? Thanks

RE: Is There a Cheaper, Safe Substitute foe Soft Gel?
