RCP CONDITION SURVEY
RCP CONDITION SURVEY
(OP)
We have recently sent a TV camera into a 30" RCP. The pipe was generally in good condition however, there was about 50' of pipe with longitudinal cracks both top and bottom. Quite significant on the bottom.
I would like to know if anyone knows of any parameters by which I can judge the severity of the cracks. We can't tell the width of the cracks from the camera. I am hesitant to have the pipe replaced if it isn't necessary, i.e., the damage is not going to effect the hydraulics or the safety of the area. The pipe is in a side street.
